I got my dog when I was 20 and didn't realize how much time/attention dogs take. I love her to death and couldn't imagine not having her, but I just can't imagine having a puppy again. Mine chewed on everything! I think that there are other people who say the same thing about having more babies..... :)
@christygraves - We rescue and board so we are used to pups, and yes they chew everything, but with some patience and some direction on what is permissable to chew they do Okay......we got this pup because she reminded us so much of our old dog that we for when we first got married, who is 13 now. The guy that we buy our horse hay from had her litter, she is blue heeler and red tick coonhound mix, our old dog is Aussie and Lab, so pretty close I'd say! How old is your dog now?......and definitely no more babies for us!!!..I'll stick to pups!
@kidzandK9z - Oh gosh, I guess my dog is about 8. She's a rat terrier, so not all that big - about 15 pounds. She's been perfect for us, but sometimes I just can't imagine going through all that again. Good luck with yours!

@christygraves - Eight, that is young for a small dog!!....but like u say, well past the puppy stage. This is a good pup so far, but today we have started with some not sooo cute diarrhea. I took her to the vet and she did a stool check, and found hookworms even though we had already dewormed her on the first visit. So we started her on some anti diarrheal meds and will deworm her again in the future, hope that is all it was. I fear parvo you know!!!!
@cowboy_christian - handsome is not the word, more like purty.....it is a she...and speakin' of, i should come over and see if you are having a belle or a buckaroo!
