I know I've been away for a few days, but with the combo of working hard, migraines, and a pulled muscle in my back it has been difficult for me to find time for you guys. I realize though that November is fast approaching, and that means that National Donor Sabbath is just weeks away. I wanted to prompt you all once more by encouraging you to send in your sexy scar photos to help me raise awareness for the shortage of registered organ donors in the nation. Here are just a few of your fellow Xangans, baring it all for a cause. Take some initiative from these guys and spread the word about importance of organ donation......after all, without it you'd have no KidzandK9z, your Queen of Redneckville!!! (Any scar will do, as long as your are willing to make the commitment!)

............. “My back was opened up over a foot, they moved all of my guts out of the way, sliced 4 pieces of bone to lay onto my spine then bolted and glued them in. Every 3 hours I'd get an IV shot of morphine then the nurses had to roll me from one side to the other side. I couldn't lay on my back. I grabbed the railing once and when they said "PULL" I pulled so hard, I bent the railing.”

@Paul_Partisan -I will try to get some bootie scars too, I've got another one of my back that is near there, I will put it up too, later......Where is Danny boy anyway? LOL, that baby is Emily....you will also have seen her on Ange's site at @gwacemom@momaroo - and also Riis did a TAO of her not too long ago. She has downs syndrome and is quite an exceptional little lady, I mean beauty queen (as she prefers).

The picture of the little kid almost got me crying. (OK - it did) I hear ya' on this organ donation support. I had to have 6 transfusions to save me while I was down. That's another good topic I think. You're doing a great thing here by bringing some attention to this. My hat's off to you for being so thoughtful and for all you've gone through.
@dikdoktor - Thanks so much Steve, especially for what you have done personally for this campaign. The story of your scars is a good one to tell. We are the survivors, but we have to stand up and voice that for those that in need!!

Scars are beautiful. I've got quite a few and some that have faded, fortunately for me.
Sorry I do not have any scars to share but I will see if Adam will do his.
@kidzandK9z - I wish I had a decent camera. My good one was stolen while I was in the hospital. Crack heads broke into my place, used my spare keys to load up my van and they took everything. They even used my spare key to my Mom's place and robbed her place - while she was visiting me in the ICU. Pretty sick. Well, I'm glad you are here doing this. It will remind people to think about organ donations and in the long run, I'm sure someone will benefit from your efforts. You deserve a big hug and a kiss too. OXOXOXOX

There are stories that go with them, but I'm in Ange's camp of, "Why use five words when a hundred would do much nicer?", so they started to get a little long and I couldn't quite seem to tie them into the neat little ending that I had hoped for, so, for now, at least there are pictures! :)
